The Bachelor program in "Midwifery" is designed to transmit to students the necessary professional skills in order for them to be successful in their job search. The three-year bachelor study program at "Midwifery" creates a series of opportunities for students who successfully complete this program to make a career in the professional field as a professional midwife, who can work in regional and tertiary hospitals.
At the same time, it enables employment in the private and public sector, as the program provides complete knowledge on the system of service and medical care and solves the problems that arise.
The purpose of this program is to train and educate students involved in this program with relevant and medical knowledge based on their courses and syllabuses as well as the development of professional teaching practices, both in the medical laboratory and in medical professional practices in hospitals.
Among others, students are provided with basic knowledge of special nursing according to medical specialties, as well as basic knowledge in medical sciences of internal medicine, surgery, anesthesia, resuscitation, pediatrics. The three-year program also includes general (basic) training disciplines, characteristic training disciplines of the program, characterizing, training disciplines chosen by students among those offered by the institution, training activities for foreign language recognition, computer skills and, in end, with thesis preparation for diploma or final exam after which the respective diploma is obtained.
The Bachelor program in "Midwifery" develops a range of skills, both practical and communication, in terms of nursing and medical care, to the hospitalized patient. The acquired knowledge is of general theoretical formation in the field of medical technical sciences. Students, after receiving the bachelor degree can be employed in the primary or hospital health service.
