Dr. Klodian Allajbeu is a distinguished Albanian physician, entrepreneur, and healthcare leader, born on April 21, 1978, in Berat, Albania. A fluent speaker of Albanian, English, Turkish, and proficient in Italian, Dr. Allajbeu has built a remarkable career at the intersection of medicine, business, and innovation.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Ankara School of Medicine in Turkey in 2002. He later completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tirana (2006–2008), followed by an MBA from the University of Cardiff in the UK in 2012, reflecting his strong commitment to combining clinical expertise with executive leadership.
Dr. Allajbeu is best known as the Founder and Chairman of American Hospitals Group, the largest private healthcare network in Albania and Kosovo. Since its establishment in 2006, he has led the development of multiple hospitals across Tirana, Durrës, Fier, and Kosovo, and spearheaded the acquisition of Hygeia Hospital Tirana in 2018.
In 2008, Dr. Allajbeu launched the National Hemodialysis Network, pioneering the first private dialysis centers in Albania fully reimbursed by the national health insurance system.
A serial entrepreneur in the medical sector, Dr. Allajbeu also founded Cambridge Clinical Laboratories, a cutting-edge diagnostic network operating in Albania, the UK, and Kosovo. The labs offer advanced testing in biochemistry, hematology, molecular biology, and genetics.
