A delegation from Western Balkans University paid a visit to The ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’ University in Chieti and Pescara. The delegation led by Prof. Ferdinand Gjana met with the rector, Prof. Sergio Caputi, and visited the premises of the School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacy, School of Medicine, and School of Economy.
The academic leadership of WBU visited also the Center for Advanced Studies and Technology, the Institute of Advanced Biomedical Technologies, and the Center of Excellence on Aging.
As a first step towards a deeper and long collaboration, a letter of intent was signed by the rector, Prof Caputi, and president, Prof. Gjana.
The ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’ University, established in 1965 as a ‘Libera Università’ (non-state-owned university), became state-owned in 1982. Today, it has 2 campuses, in Chieti and Pescara with 13 Departments, 2 Schools.
