The President of Western Balkans University, Prof. Ferdinand Gjana, paid a visit to the Ambassador of Egypt in Tirana, H.E Mohamed Heider.
Professor Gjana and Ambassador Heider discussed about potential areas where Westen Balkans University can collaborate with universities and governmental institution of education in Egypt. Prof. Gjana shared with Ambassador Heider also the internationalization strategy of WBU which includes the increase the number of international students attending the studies in WBU. He expressed also the interest in connecting with Egyptian universities as well as developing ties with educational institutions in Egypt in order to recruit easily Egyptian students to the University.
For his part, Ambassador Heider commented that the focus the Western Balkans University has on medicine and technology would be attractive to Egyptian students and the fact that courses are offered in English is also important. Ambassador Heider stressed that during recent years, Albania has become more and more attractive destination for tourism, business as well as for higher education.
