Within the project "Alliance for the Expansion of integrated social services and good governance in the Region of Tirana", Down Syndrome Albania in cooperation with the University of the Western Balkans is conducting a two-day training for Physiotherapy and Nursing students in the premises of the University.
The training which is being held by Msc. Mirsije Kullau, focuses on raising awareness and informing students and professionals about the basic concepts of Disability, the barriers and challenges faced by people with disabilities in their involvement in daily life activities, as well as the challenges and difficulties they encounter in a quality health service.
Also, the training addresses the importance of multi-disciplinary health care and in particular the Physiotherapy training of patients with disabilities.
