The memorandum of cooperation between WBU and Median Reha Zentrum Bernkastel Kues focuses on creating opportunities for students of the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy in the bachelor's and master's programs. This includes internships, professional practice, and employment opportunities in the future.
To gain a better understanding of the rehabilitation centers in Bernkastel Kues, a group consisting of the WBU President, academic staff, and students of the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy visited Germany for two days in December.
The collaborative project offers exchange programs, clinical practice opportunities, participation in joint seminars and workshops, and future employment opportunities for students and staff. This partnership has the potential to promote mutual growth and excellence in healthcare education and clinical practice. The first mobility groups are expected to be organized this summer.
MEDIAN Reha Zentrum Bernkastel Kues is the largest operator of rehabilitation centers in Germany, with four clinics in Bernkastel Kues alone, providing over 800 beds and a wide range of medical rehabilitation services. Each clinic has its functional diagnostics and a large therapy department. The interdisciplinary cooperation between different departments (cardiology, neurology, psychosomatics-physiotherapy, and orthopedics) enables individually tailored treatment for the rapid and lasting success of patients' recovery.
