The NanoBalkan 2023 international conference took place in Tirana.
During the conference's opening ceremony, the President of the Western Balkans University Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana signed the cooperation protocol with the NanoAlb research unit, near the Academy of Sciences of Albania.
115 lecturers from different countries of the world participated in this conference.
NanoBalkan 2023 is organized by the Phantom Foundation (Phantoms Foundation) from Spain and the NanoAlb Research Center, Academy of Sciences of Albania.
The Nobel laureate, Prof. Kostya Novoselov from NUS Singapore, along with prominent current figures in science, such as Prof. Joseph Wang from the University of California San Diego (UCSD), USA, awarded with numerous international awards and a constellation of accomplished researchers, opened the curtain of this event with their speeches.
Western Balkans University is represented in this conference by Assoc. Prof. Albana Halili and PhD. Cand. Ergi Hoxha and the 3 students Geldon Hoxhaj, Arilda Zhejani and Franci Brahollari with three presentations.
