The Department of Technology and Business proposes the announcement of one (one) vacant position for academic staff lecturer/assistant lecturer with part-time in Natural Sciences or Medical Sciences, fall semester academic year 2024-2025.
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor specializing in Genes and Genomics. The ideal candidate will have a strong research background in genomics, genetics, bioinformatics, or related fields, with the ability to teach and mentor students at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a productive teaching and research subject that advances the field of genomics and contributes to the university's goals in education, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Deliver undergraduate courses in gene and genomics-related subjects.
- Develop and update curricula to reflect current research and emerging trends in the field.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate students in their research project
Research:
- Establish an independent, externally funded research program in gene and genomics.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the university to foster interdisciplinary research.
Service:
- Contribute to departmental, faculty, and university service activities.
- Participate in curriculum development, student advising, and recruitment activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Genomics, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at the university level. A clear plan for establishing an independent research program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Evidence of innovative teaching practices and curriculum development.
- Ability to teach courses across different areas of genomics and genetics.
- Experience with bioinformatics, next-generation sequencing, or other high-throughput genomic technologies.
