Job Description

We are looking for highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Lecturers in Electronics. Successful candidates will have a strong academic background and expertise in the fields of electronics, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines. 

The role includes teaching undergraduate courses, engaging in research activities, and contributing to departmental growth.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

-          Deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials on topics related to wearable electronics, signal processing, and device integration.
-          Develop and update course materials to reflect current advancements in the field.
-          Supervise and mentor undergraduate students in their academic and research projects.
-          Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary research programs within the department.
-          Participate in departmental and university service activities.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate level.
  • Strong background in signal processing, circuit design, or wearable device technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Profiles: 

1.Embedded Systems Engineer

Skills and Expertise 

·       Microcontroller Programming: Proficient in Arduino and Raspberry Pi programming, with a solid grasp of C/C++ and Python. Capable of setting up and integrating PPG sensors with these platforms and managing data acquisition. 
·       Signal Processing: Skilled in implementing signal processing algorithms for PPG data using MATLAB, with experience in filtering, noise reduction, and feature extraction to ensure accurate physiological measurements. 
·       Circuit Design & Prototyping: Knowledgeable in electronic circuit design and simulation (e.g., Multisim). Capable of designing and troubleshooting analog front-end circuits that interface with PPG sensors and microcontrollers.
·       Wearable Device Integration: Familiarity with wearable device constraints, such as power efficiency, miniaturization, and user comfort, ensuring the design is compact and energy-efficient. 
·       Communication & Documentation: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation for collaborative design efforts.

2.Hardware Design Engineer

Skills and Expertise

·       Electronic Circuit Design: Advanced knowledge of analog and digital circuit design using Multisim or similar tools. Expertise in designing circuits for data acquisition, signal conditioning, and power management in wearable devices.
·       Sensor Integration & Calibration: Proficient in integrating optical PPG sensors and calibrating them to ensure accuracy in heart rate and oxygen saturation measurements.
·       Data Processing & Analysis: Experienced in MATLAB for data analysis and modeling, with the ability to simulate and validate signal processing algorithms in real-time.
·       Prototyping & Testing: Skilled in PCB design and prototyping, experienced with iterative testing of circuit functionality, sensor accuracy, and battery life to ensure a robust, field-ready product.
·       Problem-Solving & Innovation: Strong analytical skills with a creative approach to solving design challenges, ensuring reliable performance under wearable constraints.
