Applications for transfer between departments of the Western Balkans university will be carried out based on the criteria established by the University Senate. Transfer applications from other higher education institutions, for the same study program, will have the criterion of an average grade of not less than grade 7 (coefficient 2.00).
For the Student to be able to transfer his studies to Western Balkans University, he must have earned no less than 30 credits in the relevant study program. Otherwise, he/she can start the studies from the beginning, following the entry procedures defined in chapter VI of the Statute regulation.

The faculty can recognize the student's earned credits or a part of them in accordance with the procedure of recognition and equivalence of courses. English language proficiency level of at least B1 according to CEFR obtained from APTIS, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, Cambridge ESOL, Michigan Test, and PTE General. Procedures for the transfer of studies start at least three months before the start of the academic year and end before the start of the academic year and end one week before the start of the academic year.

Admission Criteria

Students who will be transferred, must complete and submit the form and relevant documents to the Educational Secretariat.

After being examined by the department and the Administration Council of the respective Faculty, applications are passed to the University Administration Council for final approval.

The applicant for transfer of studies must not be following another study program at the same time.

Enrollment Documents - Bachelor

For the application for transfer to the first cycle Bachelor and the integrated programs of the second cycle, the applicant submits the following documents:

  • Photocopy of ID/passport
  • The curriculum and course programs of the modules where the applicant has passed
  • Verification of the list of grades and credits
  • Notarized photocopy of the State Matura Diploma together with the list of Grades; the candidate who graduated from secondary education in the country before 2011, submits a notarized photocopy of the certificate of maturity, failing which a duplicate certified by DAR/ZA
  • Two photographs
  • Payment mandate for the application fee made at WBU

Enrollment Documents - Master

To apply for transfer to the second Master's cycle, the applicant submits the following documents:

  • Photocopy of ID/passport
  • Notarized photocopy of the first cycle diploma, notarized / photocopy of the first cycle diploma completed abroad, and the official document recognizing the diploma in ALBANIAN REPUBLIC
  • Notarized photocopy of the State Matura diploma + Grade certificate, confirmed by DAR/ZA; candidates who completed high school before VKM 876/2010 and VKM 78/2006 must have a notarized photocopy of the Certificate of Maturity, confirmed by DAR/ZA, in the absence of a duplicate certified by DAR/ZA
  • The curriculum of the study program of the second cycle and the course programs of the modules where the applicant has received a passing result
  • Verification of the list of grades and credits for the second cycle
  • Two photographs
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Where to submit necessary documents?

Interested students can fill the application form, but the documents should also must be physically admitted in the Admission Office at the moment of registration.
