The Head of the Research Center for Sustainable Development and Innovation, Dr. Edona Llukaçaj is a graduate of American Culture & Literature, who completed her postgraduate studies in ELL and holds a PhD in Comparative Studies in Literature, with her dissertation entitled The Ideologies of Oppression: A Comparative Study of Ngugi wa Thiong’o and Ismail Kadare. Author of Call Him Ismail: A Postcolonial Critique of Ismail Kadare (2011) and co-author of several other titles, Llukaçaj is also the author of a number of research articles included in various indexed and not indexed publications or presented in various congresses, symposiums and conferences. Her research focuses primarily on multiculturalism, postcolonialism, cosmopolitanism, identity issues and marginalization, political literature, collective memory and as well as the culture and literature of developing countries. 

During her work as a lecturer at various universities within the country and abroad, Llukaçaj has taught a variety of courses on literature, culture, language and education. 

Dr. Llukaçaj is also the translator of several books into English, Turkish and Albanian, as well as the author of many articles in the media.
