PhD(c) Ergi Hoxha is an Assistant Lecturer of Chemistry at Western Balkans University, where she is a member of the academic staff of the Department of Basic Sciences at the Faculty of Dental Medicine. She is engaged in teaching General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry across programs such as the Integrated Second-Cycle programs in Dentistry and Pharmacy, as well as the Bachelor’s programs in Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology.

Ergi Hoxha completed her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and earned an MSc in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. She is currently in the final year of her PhD studies in Applied Chemistry, within the Analytical Chemistry teaching and research group, focusing on: “Development of carbon-based electrochemical nanosensors for the determination of β-blockers in the environment.” As part of this research, she has been engaged in a scientific research collaboration with Ege University, Izmir, Turkey.

She is a Member and the Albania Representative of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and also a member of IUPAC. She has experience teaching in international and British curricula and has been involved in assessment processes related to International External Examinations. Ergi Hoxha is also a member of NanoAlb Quartz, part of the Academy of Sciences of Albania. She has participated in conferences and contributed to scientific publications at both national and international levels. Her research interests include environmental issues, pharmaceuticals, electrochemistry, and nanotechnology.
