PhD(c) Ergi Hoxha is an Assistant Lecturer in Chemistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine. She is part of the academic staff in the Department of Basic Sciences at the University of Western Balkans, where she teaches subjects such as general chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and analytical chemistry in programs including the Integrated Second Cycle in Dentistry and Pharmacy, a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, and a Bachelor of Science in Dental Technology.

Ergi Hoxha completed her bachelor's studies in chemistry and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana. Currently, she is in the process of doctoral studies in the field of applied chemistry in the analytical chemistry teaching group at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Tirana, with the focus "Development of carbon-based electrochemical nanosensors for the determination of ß-blockers in the environment." As part of her doctoral studies, she has also participated in a scientific research collaboration at Ege University in Izmir, Turkey.

PhD(c) Ergi Hoxha is a member and representative of the Royal Society of Chemistry in Albania, as well as a member of IUPAC. She has experience and qualifications in teaching both international and British curricula. Ergi is also a member of NanoAlb Quartz, which is part of the Academy of Sciences of Albania. She has been involved in professional development and the process of International External Examinations. She has actively participated in several national and international conferences and publications. Her scientific work primarily focuses on environmental issues, pharmaceuticals, electrochemistry, and nanotechnology.
