Prof. Assoc. Dr. Teona Bushati is a distinguished pathologist and academic with extensive experience in medical practice and education. She began her career as a general practitioner at the Health Service of Shkoder in 2002 and then transitioned to pathology in 2003, working in the Service of Pathologic Anatomy at the Central University Hospital Center "Mother Teresa" of Tirana. Since then, she has been a lecturer in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Anatomic Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Tirana.

Dr. Bushati has held leadership roles, including Head of the Pathology Department at Hygeia Hospital of Tirana (2010-2012) and at the American Hospital of Tirana (2018-present). She is also part of the Pathology department at the "Klinika Ortodokse e Ungjillizimit."

Recently, she has joined the Department of Basic Sciences at Western Balkans University, further contributing to the development of future medical professionals.
