Western Balkans University (WBU), in collaboration with the General Directorate of Nursing Services and professionals from American Hospitals, is organizing an accredited training titled: "The Role of the Nurse in Vascular Access Management in Hemodialysis: Care, Monitoring, Prevention of Infections and Complications."
This activity is designed to support the professional development of nurses and improve clinical practices in vascular access care, thereby enhancing the quality of life and safety of hemodialysis patients.
The training will include specific topics and guidelines on the management of nursing care for vascular access, starting with cannulation (access initiation), maintenance, and ongoing care. It will also cover the management of acute and chronic complications, emergency management, the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, and the continuous quality improvement of vascular access care.
The training will be conducted by experienced professionals, combining lectures and guidelines based on contemporary international literature in the field. It will feature practical advice for the safe handling of vascular access, interactive discussions, experience sharing, as well as pre-tests and post-tests to evaluate the knowledge gained.
The activity is accredited by the Agency for Quality Assurance of Health and Social Care (ASCK) - offering valid credits for participants.
Participants: Professional nurses, students of healthcare programs, and clinical staff of healthcare institutions.
