ICHESD 2026: Advancing Dialogue on Universities, Technology and Sustainable Development

Western Balkans University will host the 2nd International Conference on Higher Education & Sustainable Development (ICHESD 2026) on 24 September 2026 in Tirana, Albania.

The conference will bring together academics, researchers, professionals, policymakers, and innovators to exchange knowledge and perspectives on some of the most important developments shaping higher education and society today.

ICHESD 2026 will focus on the evolving role of universities in regional development, alongside key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, technological transformation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development. Through presentations and discussions, participants will explore the challenges facing contemporary higher education institutions as well as the opportunities emerging from rapid technological and societal change.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join both in person at the Western Balkans University campus and online.
