
The Rector of Western Balkans University (WBU), Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, paid an official visit to the Cambridge University Medical Education Group (CUMEG) and the Clinical School of Medicine, with the aim of further strengthening the existing cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting took place at the Cambridge University Clinical School of Medicine and provided an opportunity to review the progress achieved to date, as well as to explore new areas for continued collaboration.
During the visit, the Rector met with the Head of CUMEG, Ms. Cheryl France, to assess the ongoing partnership supporting the development of WBU’s Medical School. Discussions focused on evaluating current outcomes and defining clear priorities for future joint initiatives.
Particular emphasis was placed on the design of tailored programmes addressing the specific needs of WBU’s academic staff and students. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of medical education, support professional development, and uphold high academic standards through targeted training, mentorship, and collaborative projects.
The visit reaffirmed the strong relationship between WBU and CUMEG and laid the foundation for expanded cooperation through personalized educational initiatives that will benefit WBU’s staff and students in the years ahead.
