Assoc. Prof. Dr. Astrit Hoxhaj is Dean of the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences at Western Balkans University.

Dr. Hoxhaj is currently an Imaging Physician (Echographer) at American Hospital 2 in Tirana. He has served as Director of the Imaging Department at Hygeia Hospital and Radiologist in the Imaging Service at Q.S.U.T.

In 2002, Dr. Hoxhaj received the title of Associate Professor, and then in 2006, he specialized in "Eco-Doppler of blood vessels" at "La Sapienza" University, Rome, Italy.
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Astrit Hoxhaj has many other specializations. Dr. Hoxhaj has attended Intensive Qualification Echo doppler, guided punctures in ultrasound, and ultrasound of the breast. Jefferson University Hospital Philadelphia, USA, Specialization in Ultrasound, CT, and Angiography, Victoria Infirmary Glasgow, UK, etc.

In 2014 Dr. Hoxhaj was the Scientific Supervisor of the Doctorate on the topic "Ecographic incidents of the thyroid and their correlation with hormonal changes" and many other similar topics.
