Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatbardha is a Professor of Economics. Her fields of research are public finances; fiscal policies, EU economic policies, sustainable economic development etc. Her recent work has focused on sovereign debt, and on the ascending effects of the underground economy in competitiveness and lastly in health economics. 

Prof. Kadiu completed her bachelor studies of Economics in “EGE” University in 2002. In 2006 she received an UNDP graduate program fellowship on “Financial Management of Public Institution, Martin School, University of Kentucky and “Strategic Planning and Public Policy” in “George Town University”. She received her PhD. in “Aleksander Moisiu University” on “Effects of Proportional Rate Taxes on Designing Fiscal Policy”.

Before joining “Western Balkans” university in 2022 she was elected as member of Albanian Parliament, member of the Economic and Finance Committee. Prof. Kadiu is an expert in drafting fiscal policies, short, medium and long run budgets of local and central government, designing strategic papers in the fiscal and budgetary process, draft laws etc.  She has held many open lectures in various universities. She has a broad experience in public and private entities as chairwoman like in Tax department, Ethics committee of HEI and etc.

She is the author and co-author of many research papers. She is a co-editor of the International Journal of Economics and Finance Research, Journal of Economics, Management and Trade, International Journal of Business & Economics and lastly, she is a member of The European Money and Finance forum.
