Western Balkans University hosted European Laboratory Day, an academic event highlighting the critical role of medical laboratory professionals in the healthcare system.
The event began with welcoming remarks from Dr. Inva Kociaj, emphasizing the importance of accurate diagnostics and the central role of laboratories in patient care. The thematic presentation, “We Are in the Heart of Diagnostics”, set an inspiring tone for the program.
Participants also viewed the awareness video, “What people think a laboratory technician is… and how wrong they are…”, which provided insight into the complexity and significance of the profession.
During the first session, students Klea Gajda and Sila Bituni delivered educational and motivational presentations, showcasing the indispensable role of laboratory technicians and sharing their personal perspectives on this professional calling.
