
Western Balkans University proudly inaugurated the International Young Researchers Conference 2025, a scientific event dedicated to “Research, Ethics & Innovation in Medicine and Health Sciences and motivation of the next generation of health professionals”.
The conference gathered young researchers, students, and faculty from #WBU to share studies, discuss challenges, and explore new directions in clinical medicine, public health, bioethics, and medical technology.
The program featured:
• Opening remarks by university leadership emphasizing the importance of research integrity and innovation in healthcare.
• Keynote presentations by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iris Allajbeu and PhD Eda Çela, focusing on the ethical dimensions of scientific advancement.
• Three parallel sessions showcasing over 20 student-led presentations on topics such as AI in diagnosis, telemedicine, thalassemia, diabetic foot management, and stem cell therapy followed by a Poster Session.
• A Discussion Panel lead by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iris Allajbeu and Dr. SpA. Brunilda Zllami highlighting collaboration, curiosity, and the empowerment of young professionals.
The conference concluded with the Best Oral Presentation and Best Poster Awards, celebrating excellence in research quality, presentation, and innovation.
