The Rector of Western Balkans University, Professor Ferdinand Gjana, had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Pantelis Sklias, Rector of Neapolis University Paphos, during an official visit aimed at strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions.
In the course of the meeting, the rectors exchanged perspectives on the advancement of higher education and underscored the vital role of international cooperation in promoting academic excellence. Discussions centered on several key areas of mutual interest, including the development of joint academic programs, collaborative research initiatives, and student and staff mobility. Further topics included the co-organization of academic conferences and seminars, as well as cooperation within the framework of EU-funded and other international projects.
The dialogue also explored the establishment of dual degree programs and initiatives to foster youth entrepreneurship and innovation, aligning with both universities’ commitment to societal impact and the cultivation of future leaders.
The meeting concluded with the formal signing of a Cooperation Agreement, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership and setting the foundation for concrete collaborative projects in the near future.
