Over 35 businesses and institutions participated in the Career Fair organized by Western Balkans University in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in Albania. This fair was a great opportunity for students to get to know and closely observe the numerous opportunities for internships and employment that companies offer.
Among the many guests at the Career Fair were Ms. Ermonela Felaj, Deputy Chairperson of the Albanian Parliament, Mr. Nathan Dann, representative of the British Embassy in Albania, Ms. Jonida Lakuriqi, Deputy Chairperson of the British Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Keti Luarasi, Deputy Mayor of Tirana, Mr. Elton Korbi, Executive Director of Albsig Invest, etc.
The fair opened with a welcoming speech from the President of Western Balkans University, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, who stated that this activity underscores once again WBU's commitment to creating various opportunities for students to have secure employment during and after their studies. The fair was also addressed by Ms. Ermonela Felaj, Deputy Chairperson of the Albanian Parliament, Mr. Nathan Dann, representative of the British Embassy in Albania, Ms. Jonida Lakuriqi, Deputy Chairperson of the British Chamber of Commerce, and Ms. Keti Luarasi, Deputy Mayor of Tirana.
Western Balkans University is the only university in Albania that provides paid internships for students from the first year of studies in both domestic and international companies and ensures secure employment for them after graduation.
