Western Balkans University (WBU) welcomed Ms. Floreta Faber, Deputy Director General of the National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK), for an official meeting with WBU Rector Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana.
The meeting highlighted the importance of preparing young professionals in the field of cybersecurity and strengthening cooperation between public institutions and higher education, supporting capacity-building and developing sustainable skills aligned with today’s digital security challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, WBU and AKSK signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement, aimed at establishing a long-term partnership in:
- Education and training in cybersecurity
- Scientific research and joint initiatives
- Innovation and practical solutions addressing cybersecurity challenges
This agreement creates concrete opportunities for WBU students and academic staff, supporting the development of academic and professional activities that contribute to shaping the next generation of cybersecurity specialists.
