- Implementation of joint research projects;
- Organization of various academic activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.
The collaboration between the two institutions also includes the organization of joint study programs at the Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD levels.
The University of Salerno ("UNISA") is linked to the oldest academic institution in the European continent: the Schola Medica Salernitana. Established in the eighth century, the School reached its peak between the 10th and 13th centuries. In addition to medicine, this university also included education in the fields of philosophy, theology, and law. The School, bestowed upon Salerno the title of Civitas Hippocratica (the City of Hippocrates) after the famous Greek physician and writer of treaties.
Currently, the University of Salerno is composed of various faculties such as the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, and the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
