WBU students practice in the modern laboratories of the American Hospital

Biotechnology students, within the Cytology and Cytogenetics course, are developing practices in the modern laboratories of the American Hospital.

The students were accompanied by lecturer Dr. Marsilda Qyli and the process was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Erion Sukaj, Dr. Albina Ndoja and chief laboratory assistant Shqipe Matoshi.

During the practice, the following was accomplished:

1- Taking the organ;

2- Dissection;

3- Freezing;

4- Coloring;

5- Microscopic observation.

Microscopic observation was carried out up to the cytological level of organelles.

The students had the opportunity to evaluate and analyze the shapes of cells and the corresponding organelles, in the conditions of a normal cell and a tumor cell.
