Western Balkans University hosted today the Western Balkans STEM Olympiad 2026, bringing together talented young students from Albania and the region in an academic competition focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The Olympiad gathered high-achieving students who participated in an individual STEM challenge designed to test their analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic knowledge.
In addition to the competition, participants had the opportunity to experience the university environment at Western Balkans University, becoming familiar with the academic culture, facilities, and study opportunities offered by the institution.
As part of the event, winners were awarded prizes of up to €500, while the most outstanding participants were granted 30 scholarships to continue their studies at Western Balkans University.
The Western Balkans STEM Olympiad aims to encourage young talent, promote academic excellence, and inspire the next generation of students to pursue careers in STEM fields, contributing to innovation and technological development in the region.
