The purpose of the BLUNEW project is to establish a network for the promotion of centers of innovation, where the common denominator will be blue economy. BLUNEW supports and encourages the so called Blue Economy and the transnational cooperation in the direction of sustainable development of coastal and river communities. An important part of the process is going to be the increase of skills and abilities for a competitive market participation by actors in the field of the blue economy. Specific tools will be created to support such companies in the direction of ecological and digital transition. An action plan will be prepared on the basis of which the stakeholders in the given areas will be helped to develop innovative content related to the blue economy, so that they’ll be able to become more competitive at the local and international level. Project partners will jointly develop support services for innovative business solutions in the field of the blue economy. Pilot activities are foreseen, the content of which will be defined on the basis of the developed action plan. The aim of the pilot activities will be to increase the level of sustainability and digitization in business management, and at the same time to increase the capacity to promote innovation for all interested territorial parties.
