Western Balkans University (WBU) invites eligible students to apply for an Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies opportunity at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, during the Spring Semester (Semester II) of the 2026–2027 academic year.
The mobility opportunity is intended for second-year Bachelor students enrolled in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence programme.
Selected students will study at the host university for the full semester, gaining international academic experience and developing intercultural competencies.
Financial Support:
- Individual grant of EUR 800 per month to support living expenses.
- Additional travel grant calculated according to Erasmus+ distance-based funding rules.
- Access to student dormitory accommodation and a student canteen at preferential prices, subject to availability and applicable arrangements.
Objectives
The Erasmus+ Student Mobility programme aims to:
- Strengthen academic cooperation between Western Balkans University and the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria.
- Promote international student mobility and academic exchange.
- Provide students with an international academic and intercultural experience.
- Support the development of academic, professional, and personal skills.
- Ensure that studies completed during the mobility can be recognised within the student’s WBU programme.

Eligible Study Programme: Bachelor in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Target Group: Students in their second year of Bachelor studies at the time of application.
Applicants must:
- Be actively enrolled at Western Balkans University during the academic year of mobility.
- Have completed at least 60 ECTS credits.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 7.0/10.
- Demonstrate sufficient English-language proficiency to participate in academic activities and complete coursework.
- Propose a study plan compatible with their WBU academic programme and suitable for academic recognition following the mobility.
- Meet the requirements established by WBU's Student Mobility Regulations and the relevant mobility call.
Guidelines
Interested students must prepare and submit the following documents:
- Completed Erasmus+ Student Mobility Application Form.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV), preferably in Europass format.
- Motivation Letter explaining the applicant's academic objectives and expected benefits of the mobility.
- Transcript of Records covering all completed semesters.
- Proposed Learning Agreement for Studies, prepared in consultation with the student's Academic Advisor.
- Proof of English-language proficiency.
- Copy of a valid passport.
Application and Selection Procedure
Applications will be reviewed in accordance with Western Balkans University's Student Mobility Regulations.
The selection process considers academic performance, language proficiency, motivation, application quality, and equal-opportunity principles.
Eligible applications will undergo evaluation by the relevant WBU committee. Selected candidates will subsequently be nominated to the host institution, which is responsible for the final admission decision.
Students are advised to consult their Academic Advisor before submitting their application to ensure that their proposed Learning Agreement is compatible with their academic programme.
