Western Balkans University invites its teaching and non-teaching staff to apply for a funded Erasmus+ KA171 staff mobility opportunity at the University of Applied Sciences “Lavoslav Ružička” in Vukovar, Croatia (VEVU), under project 2025-1-HR01-KA171-HED-000334903.
The mobility will take place within the framework of VEVU’s 5th Erasmus+ International Staff Week 2026, which will be held from 30 November to 4 December 2026 at VEVU, Blage Zadre 2, 32000 Vukovar, Croatia.
This international week offers participants the opportunity to engage in teaching, training, job shadowing, professional exchange, and networking with colleagues from partner universities across the Western Balkans, Georgia, and Ukraine.
The working language of the mobility is English. Applicants are required to have English or Croatian language proficiency at B2 level.
The subject focus areas of the mobility are Economics, Public Administration, and Physiotherapy.

Objectives
The main objectives of this Erasmus+ KA171 staff mobility are to:
- Support international academic and professional exchange between Western Balkans University and VEVU.
- Strengthen cooperation with partner universities within the Erasmus+ KA171 framework.
- Provide staff with opportunities for teaching, training, job shadowing, and networking.
- Promote the exchange of good practices in teaching, administration, and professional development.
- Enhance the internationalization of WBU academic and administrative staff.
- Encourage capacity building in the fields of Economics, Public Administration, and Physiotherapy.
Scope
This call is open to teaching and non-teaching staff employed at Western Balkans University throughout the entire application and mobility period.
Applicants may choose one of the following mobility formats:
Applicants may choose one of the following mobility formats:
- Training only (STT): Open to academic and administrative staff. Participants may attend workshops, training sessions, job shadowing activities, and professional-practice exchange.
- Teaching only (STA): Open to teaching staff only. Participants are required to deliver 8 hours of teaching, present their area of expertise, and define clear learning outcomes.
- Combined teaching and training (STA + STT): Participants are required to deliver 4 hours of teaching and participate in training activities, workshops, and job shadowing.
Western Balkans University will nominate one primary candidate and a reserve list.
Priority will be given to staff members for whom this is their first Erasmus+ mobility.
The mobility duration is 5 days. Up to two additional travel days may also be funded.
The grant includes:
- Individual support: 148 EUR per day.
- Travel support: A fixed amount based on the Tirana-Vukovar distance, with a higher rate for green travel.

- Draft Mobility Agreement for the selected mobility format: STA, STT, or combined STA + STT
- Copy of passport
- Language Proficiency Certificate
