The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Imaging brings together a diverse range of healthcare disciplines to support the advancement of diagnostic services and improve healthcare treatment. The Department also trains students for careers in medical research and academia. Students are encouraged to take part in research activities, learn how to design experiments, and contribute to the development of new diagnostic methods. This foundation allows them to take on leadership roles, guide technical staff, and pursue academic or research work in laboratory science, radiology, radiotherapy, or interdisciplinary fields related to diagnostics and treatment.

Students enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Sciences and Imaging programs participate in structured clinical rotations in a wide range of healthcare settings, allowing them to gain essential hands-on experience and apply their knowledge in real-world environments. Internship placements are offered in both individual and group practices, including recognized institutions such as American and Hygeia Hospitals, Cambridge Clinics Laboratories, and other specialized clinics.
In the final year of study, students receive focused guidance from faculty and industry professionals as they prepare for their licensing examinations. Through the department’s strong network of partners, many students gain real employment opportunities upon graduation, both within affiliated institutions and across the broader healthcare sector.
