Position Description
Western Balkans University is seeking to hire a part-time and full-time Lecturer in the Radiology profile, to provide teaching and academic support to students of the Imaging Technician study program. The Lecturer must have clinical and academic experience in the field of radiology and demonstrate pedagogical skills in interpreting the main medical imaging techniques with high-tech equipment, such as radiography, CT, MRI and Ultrasound. The candidate must be able to lead theoretical and practical classes, demonstrate modern teaching techniques, reflects advanced and appropriate scientific skills and knowledge in dealing with issues related to imaging diagnostics and imaging therapeutic treatments.
This position offers opportunities to contribute to the growth and improvement of academic and professional quality, as well as to help students develop their practical and theoretical skills in this field of medical imaging.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.To recognize, respect, implement and act in accordance with the legislation and internal legal acts in force;
2. To implement the provisions of the statute and internal regulations of the institution;
3. To implement the rules of ethics and discipline in the institution, avoiding any action inside and outside the institution that harms the image of the institution;
4. Undertake tasks related to student supervision, organizing academic consultations and advising;
5. Engage in the implementation of administrative tasks in the department which are defined in the relevant instructions;
6. To respect the time allocated for teaching according to the official schedule approved for the development of lecture, seminar, laboratory and practical classes;
7. To fulfill the obligation to draft the syllabus and submit it after approval by the head of the basic unit according to the instructions in for;
8. To increase professional academic skills and participate in training activities for this purpose;
9. Participate in scientific research activities and training in accordance with his/her profile (field of study), according to the needs and determinations of the institution;
10. To undergo an evaluation of the performance of academic staff;
11. To report at the end of each academic year on all aspects of the organization of teaching for the relevant discipline according to the predetermined format;
12. To contribute to the development, planning, updating and implementation of a high-quality curriculum;
13. Assist in the development of learning materials, and record keeping to monitor student progress, achievement and participation; update learning materials and syllabus;
14. Participate in department and faculty seminars aimed at presenting research work and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department;
15. Participate in the development, administration, marking of exams and other assessments;
16. To contribute to the group work of the department, faculty or Western Balkans University.
