Position Description
Western Balkans University invites applications for a full-time Professor or Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology to support the integrated study program “Master of Science in Medicine” as well as other related programs in the field of medical sciences.
The selected candidate is expected to deliver high-quality academic teaching in Obstetrics and Gynecology, covering key areas of women’s reproductive health, including pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as gynecological pathologies, their diagnosis, treatment, and management. The candidate will also be responsible for facilitating the application of this knowledge in clinical practice and patient care.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background and demonstrated teaching experience in core areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology, including the physiology and pathology of the female reproductive system, the management of both normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor and postpartum care, as well as clinical diagnostics such as obstetric and gynecological ultrasound and prenatal screening, in addition to the management of gynecological diseases.
Furthermore, the candidate is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the role of Obstetrics and Gynecology within interdisciplinary healthcare teams, coupled with a strong commitment to student engagement, adherence to professional ethics, and the effective application of contemporary teaching methodologies.
