Position Description
Western Balkans University is seeking to recruit a full-time Lecturer. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or PhD degree in Biochemistry, with demonstrated expertise in the theoretical understanding of macromolecules, metabolic processes, and the integration of this knowledge into human health and well-being. Candidates should also demonstrate practical laboratory skills and competencies. The position requires active engagement in biochemistry research, academic instruction, and contribution to the development of the department’s scientific and educational activities.
The candidate is expected to demonstrate strong pedagogical abilities and the capacity to deliver high-quality teaching in undergraduate and graduate courses. Experience in curriculum development, student mentorship, and the application of modern teaching methodologies will be considered an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and external collaborators. The candidate should be able to clearly communicate scientific concepts, participate in academic discussions, and contribute to a collaborative academic environment.
The candidate is expected to independently design and conduct scientific research, publish in recognized academic journals, and contribute to the advancement of the field of expertise. The position also requires the ability to work effectively within research teams and to actively participate in interdisciplinary projects and national or international research consortia.
