Position Description
Western Balkans University is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Computer Sciences, to serve the Department of Computer Sciences within the Faculty of Economics, Technology and Innovation. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and academic support to students in the undergraduate and graduate programs of the department. The candidate is expected to be specialized in one or more areas of computer science, possessing advanced theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as experience in teaching and academic research. The candidate should be capable of delivering both theoretical lectures and practical sessions, and of supervising student projects and theses.
The Department of Computer Sciences hosts undergraduate and graduate study programs in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Cyber Security. The candidate is expected to teach in a practice-oriented manner, bridging theoretical foundations with real-world applications in software development, intelligent systems, data management, and secure computing. The candidate must be able to lead both theoretical and practical classes and to demonstrate advanced scientific and pedagogical skills appropriate to this field.
This position offers opportunities to contribute to the growth and improvement of academic and professional quality, as well as to help students develop practical and theoretical skills across the computer science field.
