Job Description

Western Balkans University is seeking to engage a qualified and experienced Dental Assistant to provide support in the university’s dental clinic. This position aims to contribute to the delivery of high-quality dental services and assist students during their practical training. The candidate will have the opportunity to oversee practical procedures and play a key role in assisting dentists during various dental treatments and procedures.

Job Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Proper and safe use of dental equipment and materials required for procedures, including monitoring and ensuring the safety of dental instruments for each patient visit.
Assisting dentists during various dental procedures in therapy, prosthetics, and oral surgery.
Operating the autoclave for instrument sterilization and ensuring that the clinic environment remains clean and safe for both patients and staff.
Maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating appointment schedules to ensure a smooth patient flow.
Ensuring that patients are well-informed and prepared for upcoming procedures by providing instructions on treatment and post-procedure care.
Offering guidance to patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Supporting dentistry students during their clinical practice by providing instructions and supervision in developing their practical skills.

Education and Qualifications

Degree in Dental Assistance or Nursing.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures and equipment, including the use of autoclaves for sterilization.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with both patients and colleagues.
Proficiency in English (C1 level).
Ability to maintain order and organization in a medical environment.
Relevant certifications and additional qualifications are preferred.
