Assistant Lecturer in Dental Technician

Western Balkans University is currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Lecturer in Dental Technician.

This position is situated in the Department of Dentistry of the Faculty of Dental Medicine. The appointment includes assistance in various laboratory processes to aid the Dental clinic, manage laboratory products, and order necessary materials during instruction.
 

Academic education
You contribute to teaching in the bachelor programs in the Faculty of Dental Medicine. You teach different practical courses in the programs. 

1. Dental Technician's Degree with Distinction: An outstanding academic record with a minimum GPA of 9.5/10 is required. 

2. English Proficiency: Proof of English language proficiency at a minimum level of C1 or equivalent is essential.

3. Proficiency in dental laboratory techniques such as casting, molding, trimming, and polishing dental prosthetics.

4. Ability to use CAD-CAM technology for designing and manufacturing dental restorations.

5. Familiarity with dental materials and equipment.

6. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

- Administrative Tasks:

Assisting with administrative duties such as record-keeping, grading assignments, and tracking student attendance with the usage of the SMART-WBU system.

- Teamwork:

Collaborating effectively with other dental technicians, teaching assistants, and faculty members to support the educational mission of the program.

Willingness to assist colleagues and share knowledge and expertise for the benefit of students.

Collaborating with instructors and other teaching assistants to ensure the smooth operation of laboratory activities.

Communicating effectively with students, instructors, and other staff members.

Staying updated on advancements in dental laboratory technology and teaching methods through professional development opportunities.

Willingness to adapt to changes in curriculum, technology, and educational practices.
