Position Description

Western Balkan University is seeking to hire a part-time Assistant Lecturer in the field of Ergonomics in Dentistry. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and enhancement of academic and professional quality while helping students develop their practical and theoretical skills in this important field. The role involves defining the current etiology of occupational diseases, including those related to the dental profession. The lecturer should be familiar with ergonomic procedures in dentistry and the organization of work in a dental clinic, as well as principles of health and safety at work in dentistry. They should be able to organize the dental clinic in accordance with ergonomic work principles. The lecturer should also be able to establish professional rules of conduct and collaboration with representatives of other healthcare professionals.

The role involves collaborating in a team of professionals in a multicultural and multinational environment.

Job Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

To be familiar with, respect, implement, and act in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulatory acts.
To apply the provisions of the institution's statute and internal regulations.
To adhere to the ethical rules and discipline within the institution, avoiding any actions inside and outside the institution that could harm its image.
To fully engage in the execution of academic and administrative duties within the department, as outlined in the relevant guidelines.
To respect the teaching schedule according to the official timetable for conducting lectures, seminars, labs, and practical sessions.
To undergo performance evaluation as part of the academic staff.
To report at the end of each academic year on all aspects of teaching organization for the respective discipline, according to the predetermined format.
To prepare teaching materials, update course content and syllabus, and maintain records to monitor student progress, achievement, and participation.
To participate in departmental and faculty activities aimed at presenting research work and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration both within and outside the department.
To continue academic training towards an advanced degree within 3-5 years of obtaining the current degree.
To contribute to group work within the department, faculty, or Western Balkans University.
To avoid using professional relationships with students for private purposes and refrain from using student help for personal goals, as it constitutes a conflict of interest and illegal influence.
To participate in scientific research activities on behalf of the university.

Education and Qualifications

Master's Degree in Sciences
Proficiency in the English language: Level C1
