Position Description
Western Balkans University is seeking to hire a part-time Assistant Lecturer in the field of Public Health. The lecturer is expected to specialize in Public Health, with work or teaching experience in the field of Environmental Health, where they will provide both basic and advanced information on topics such as: the management and control of health problems related to the environment in both industrialized and developing countries, the body's response to environmental pollutants, vectors of transmission, hazardous waste, at-risk groups, policy decisions, and global issues related to environmental health.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and improvement of academic and professional quality, as well as helping students develop their practical and theoretical skills in this important field.

Job Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities
• To know, respect, apply, and act in accordance with the legislation and regulatory acts in force;
• To apply the provisions of the statute and the internal regulations of the institution;
• To apply the rules of ethics and discipline in the institution, avoiding any action inside and outside the institution that may damage its image;
• To fully engage in fulfilling academic and administrative duties within the department, as outlined in the relevant guidelines;
• To respect time for teaching according to the official schedule approved for lectures, seminars, laboratories, and practical sessions;
• To undergo performance evaluation as part of academic staff assessments;
• To report at the end of each academic year on all aspects of the organization of teaching for the relevant discipline, following the predetermined format;
• To prepare teaching materials, update course materials and syllabi, and take notes to monitor student progress, achievement, and participation;
• To participate in department and faculty activities aimed at presenting research work and building interdisciplinary cooperation within and outside the department;
• To take responsibility for continuing academic training toward a higher degree within 3-5 years from the completion of the current degree;
• To contribute to group work in the department, faculty, or University of “Western Balkans”;
• Not to exploit professional relationships with students for private purposes or use student assistance for private purposes, as it constitutes a conflict of interest and illegal influence;
• To participate in scientific research activities on behalf of the university.

Education and Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Sciences;
• Proficiency in English: C1 level;
• Certifications and Qualifications.
